ARTIK Explorers

This week, Codenvy announced the beta release of SAMSUNG ARTIK IDE powered by Eclipse Che, opening a new door for cloud-based IoT development. Along with developer support from both Samsung and Codenvy, the release is compatible with multiple languages including Java and Python, with access to resources from the Eclipse Che community. Turn Up the Speakers

Iron.io recaps the Golang SF meetup sponsored by New Relic. Highlights include presentations on Gohan, the REST-based API server, Essentier Nomock, a high-fidelity testing framework, and rqlite, a distributed relational database that uses an SQLite storage engine.

Keen IO’s roundup of the third annual Open Source Show and Tell. Talks included how open source is used at Google, as well as “the power of F#, .NET and Visual Studio Code,” and also how to hack PostgreSQL for advanced parsing functions. Speed and Simplicity

Gradle introduces a “performance burst” with the release of Gradle 2.13. Some of the cited improvements include a faster script compilation, a more optimized classpath and faster IDE integration with improved caching. You can read more about the Gradle 2.13 release here.

Pagerduty announces a new Certified CA UIM Integration with CA Technologies that provides IT Ops with a consolidated view of their infrastructures. Along with simplifying monitoring tools, the integration creates notes in PagerDuty and utilizes PagerDuty’s alert notification service.

In this week’s episode of To Be Continuous, LaunchDarkly’s Edith Harbaugh and CircleCI’s Paul Biggar discuss the emergence of the term “DevOps 2.0.” They work out a definition and show how continuous delivery can give your team incredible early validation powers.
