The Keys to a Winning Team

Gluecon 2016 wrapped up last week with presentations geared toward successful developer teams. LaunchDarkly CEO Edith Harbaugh has a recap of the event.

DrupalCon New Orleans presenter Luke Preobasco gives a breakdown of developer security and focuses on some key security concepts for Drupal and beyond, including the importance of encryption and having secure API keys. You can read more and watch a video of the talk on the Pantheon blog.

Just Go With It

The GOTO Conference brought developers together in Chicago on May 24 and 25. Presenters included Travis Reeder, CTO and co-founder of Iron.io, who discussed his company’s decision to base their infrastructure on Go instead of, say, Ruby. Visit the Iron.io blog to read more about why Iron.io started using Go and stuck with it.

Making It Happen on Mobile

Stripe announced updates for mobile developers creating apps to accept Apple Pay and Android Pay transactions from countries including Australia and the UK. The folks at Stripe have also released an open-source JavaScript library for creating fullscreen modal views.

Poetic Systems collaborated with The Hacker Society to host a 50 developer hackathon. It’s mission: to build a Meteor mobile app that tracks and locates a mobile pediatric care unit for the Ronald McDonald House. You can read about the event and the app deployment here.
