Microsoft Joins Open Infrastructure Foundation
Microsoft is merging the AT&T Network Cloud platform into Microsoft's Azure for Operators telco offering to enable telecommunication companies to deliver highly reliable, cost-effective, and secure 5G services to consumer and enterprise customers. Cyber Security Software Startup Snyk Raises $300M, Valued at $8.5B
Snyk, a security scanning platform used by developers at companies like Google, Salesforce, Intuit, and Atlassian, announced a $530 million series F investment round that values the company at $8.5 billion. The latest round follows a funding round in March when $175 million of new capital was raised. The company was valued at $4.7 billion only six months ago.
DigitalOcean Enhances Serverless Capabilities with Nimbella Acquisition
As developers look for ways to simplify how they create software, serverless solutions is becoming increasingly popular. DigitalOcean CEO Yancey Spruill, who took over two years ago, refers to Nimbella’s capabilities as “Function as a Service,” with the goal being to simplify serverless development in an open source context for its target customers.
