In Touch With Your Inner Daemon
While those in the know may already be using it, Gradle releases a new feature for its 3.0 M1 release that will enable the Gradle Daemon by default. This daemon is a background process that tracks and reports build information to make build times faster, according to this post on the Gradle blog. All users will now automatically use the Gradle Daemon unless they opt out.
An API Delivered
In a statement published by Uber, the company has announced the launch of its UberRUSH API to the public. The beta had been in use by partner companies since January, but last week the API was released for anyone who wants to integrate Uber’s delivery service with their business. Uber will hold RUSH API workshops in New York City, Chicago and San Francisco during the week of June 27.
